Carrusel (1989)
Carrusel adalah sebuah telenovela yang tayang di Indonesia pada pertengahan tahun 90-an. Menceritakan tentang anak-anak di sebuah sekolah dengan latar belakang yang berbeda-beda beserta guru mereka, Jimena. Ada Cirilo, anak Afrika-Mexico, yang jatuh cinta pada Maria Joaquina. Ada juga David, yang jatuh cinta pada Valeria. Carmen, gadis penyendiri yang orang tuanya berpisah. Dan anak-anak lain yang punya masalah masing-masing. Guru Jimena tak hanya menjadi guru di sana melainkan juga menjadi sahabat bagi murid-muridnya.
Carrusel is timeless. The story of school children from various backgrounds, coming together and becoming friends. There's Cirilo, an African-Mexican, boy in love with Maria Joaquina, a selfcentered blond hair girl. David, a Jewish boy, in love with Valeria, Catholic girl. Carmen, a lonely girl, whose parents are breaking up, trying to keep her family together. Bibi, and American girl growing up in Mexico, trying to learn a different way of life. Jaime, the son of humble car mechanic, to big for his age. Jaime tries very hard to learn at school but is easily distructed. Miss Ximena, the teacher. She loves all the children and treats them as individuals.

Lupita is young and pretty and studies law. Although her future seems bright, for the moment she is penniless - and that's why she lives in the Sares department store, where she works by day as a salesgirl in the toy department and her uncle works by night as the security guard. Everything she "borrows" from the store to live on, she writes down in a little book so that she can repay it when she finishes her studies. She has it all planned. But one day, she meets a guy outside the office of the owner of the department store. She thinks he is there to apply for a job, and Alfredo decides to play along. Although the owner is his father, he uses the name of his best friend, pretends to be poor and arranges for himself to get a job there in order to chase that cute Lupita. Alfredo has always been a lazy bum and a flirt, and to him, this is all a game. María Mercedes adalah opera sabun dari Meksiko yang dibintangi oleh Thalía, ditayangkan pada tahun 1992 oleh stasiun Televisa. Menceritakan tentang seorang gadis miskin yang harus bekerja keras untuk menghidupi keluarganya. Ayahnya adalah seorang pemabuk dan ibunya telah meninggalkan mereka waktu Maria masih kecil. Maria jatuh cinta dan menikah dengan Jorge Luis del Olmo, namun pernikahan ini ditentang oleh ibu Jorge Luis, Malvina. Selain itu, Maria ternyata pernah menikah sebelumnya dengan Santiago, seorang jutawan yang sakit-sakitan dan sepupu Jorge Luis. Santiago meninggalkan seluruh kekayaannya kepada Maria, sehingga Malvina cemburu dan berusaha membunuhnya.
